DISNEY +: Echo, first photo, release year, vague synopsis and casting for the MCU series on Maya Lopez

Projects related to Marvel Cinematic Universe are varied and involve characters on very different scales. After the vigilante Moon Knight in the service of the Egyptian god Khonshuwe will discover in a few weeks the young Miss Marvelwhose series should connect her to the film The Marvels next year. However, there is still a plethora of programs to come on Disney+whether in animation format or in live action. Among them we find Echowhich interests us now since marvel studios begins to talk about.

The character played by Alaqua Cox appeared in the series Hawkeye as an antagonist, but ended up finding some form of redemption in the final episode. If you haven’t watched the series, Maya Lopez a.k.a Echo is deaf and has photographic reflexes as well as a good command of various combat arts. She will therefore be entitled to her series on the SVoDwhich is on the way confirmed for release in 2023 on Disney+, its production being in progress. For the moment, the scenario remains very vague and will certainly be very down to earth, summarized in the following lines:

Streaming exclusively on Disney+, Echo’s origin story revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace a sense of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.

In addition to the photo above, we also learn a few names featured in the cast and production:
