First, Disney+ snatches several Marvel heroes from Netflix’s competition and now one of them is also getting a new series from the streaming provider. Pretty bitter for Netflix, but fans will be delighted to see Daredevil return.

As a quick reminder: As is well known, the former Marvel series on Netflix were discontinued in February and taken offline. As a result, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and the Punisher lost their homes for a short time, but then moved back to Disney + as expected – in Germany this will be the case at the end of June. However, there are no new episodes or seasons. This will now change.

From Netflix to Disney+: Marvel’s Daredevil is getting a new series

As the industry magazine Variety exclusively reports, one of the heroes just mentioned will get his own new series on Disney + – Daredevil is coming back. Matt Corman and Chris Ord were commissioned to produce and write a script (source: Variety). Of course, Charlie Cox will be on board again. As the lawyer Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil), he already had a guest appearance in the last Spider-Man film and is now officially part of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).

A few years ago, GIGA conducted an interview with Charlie Cox aka Daredevil:

Daredevil’s nemesis – Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin – may also appear in the series. He returned in another Disney+ series (Hawkeye) and is now also part of the MCU. Played by the wonderful Vincent D’Onofrio, Kingpin is a role the actor fills like no other.

Next guest appearance in She-Hulk ?

One However, it’s probably best not to expect a direct continuation of the events of Season 3 of Marvel’s Daredevil. In this respect, it remains to be seen whether Deborah Ann Woll will be brought back as Karen Page and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson or ignored or even recast. Even if an official confirmation from Marvel and Disney is still pending, the return of Daredevil is therefore considered agreed. By the way: We may see you again in the series “She-Hulk: The Lawyer”, which starts in August – keep your fingers crossed.
