If the month of May is particularly flowery on Disney +, it is mainly thanks to the long-awaited return of Obi-Wan Kenobi in his own series on the 27th, but not only. We also expect a lot from the mini-series centered on the Malik Oussekine affair, and from the series already very popular in the United States telling the story of the Wu-Tang Clan.

It is also this month that we will be able to see if the spin off inverted from How I Met Your Mother lives up to the original (probably not), if it really needed to be redone Cinderella in the world of sneakers, and if Tic & Tac the risk rangers are still so cute and funny.

Event of the month: Obi-Wan KenobiMay 27

After a rather disappointing series on Boba Fett as soon as she tried to get out of the adulated steps mandalorian, the one centered on Obi-Wan Kenobi is expected at the turn. It must be said that the stars are aligned for a great success: the great return of Ewan McGregor in the role of the Jedi master, that of Hayden Christensen in Darth Vader, a last freelance in the universe Star Wars for the composer John Williams, multiple rumors of cameos of characters from the different trilogies… All these beautiful people will come to tell us how the ex-Jedi knight watches the young Luke Skywalker on Tattooine while somehow escaping the henchmen of the Empire, and in particular to the terrible inquisitors, the main antagonists of the series. The first images suggest a plot that sticks to what we love in the saga of George Lucas. We hope to have a last good time with the character of Kenobi, one of the most popular in the universe. Star Wars.

We are curious: OussekineMay 11

For its third original French production after Para//els and Family weekend, Disney+ has taken up a radically political subject that unfortunately still resonates very strongly today. In 1986, a 22-year-old student lost his life in the lobby of a building where he had taken refuge to escape police officers heated to white heat by clashes on the sidelines of student demonstrations. An uneventful young man, victim of a conflict in which he was not even particularly involved, beaten to death for no reason. This indelible trace in the history of the French police gave rise to a legal confrontation between the family of Malik Oussekine and the French police, defended by a State then claiming to be infallible. It seems to be this trial that the series is mainly interested in, which brings together several big names such as Hiam Abbass, Kad Merad or Olivier Gourmet.

We are also curious: Wu-Tang: An American SagaMay 25

New York, early 90s. Bobby Diggs, better known as RZA, brings together a dozen struggling young African-Americans around a musical project. From this will be born the Wu-Tang Clan, while its participants will adorn themselves with now legendary nicknames such as Method Man, Ghostface Killah or GZA. This scripted series (therefore non-documentary) is based on the writings of RZA himself, and its success is such that a second season has already been ordered by Hulu. It must be said that there is something to tell about Wu-Tang, as its history has entered the legend of world rap alongside those of NWA or Tupac.
