Disney+ risks putting to death this series which divides a lot

Among the Marvel series, there are some that have clearly divided. This is particularly the case for She-Hulk, who had difficulty convincing part of the public. And inevitably, it immediately makes you nervous.

Although the She-Hulk series brought a breath of fresh air to the MCU, focusing on humor with a unique blend of situational comedy and well-written dialogue. Bad luck, the series was destroyed by critics and spectators elsewhere. The success was not really there and the result was not long in coming. Although She Hulk introduces new (and old) characters, it is a very poor start for the sequel. Marvel and Disney+ are slightly cautious.

One less Marvel Series on Disney+

It is The Direct which reports to us that Tatiana Maslany, the main actress of the series, expressed her doubts about the production of a season 2, citing in particular a large overrun of the budget allocated by Disney as the main reason. “ I don’t think that’s going to happen. I think we went over budget, and Disney said no thanks“, she said.

The comment about the budget isn’t really surprising when you see the countless number of CGI elements on screen. Not to mention that the series itself makes fun of its limits in certain episodes. However, many wonder where all these millions of dollars went, as the special effects are sometimes unsightly and the production is not really up to standard. This is also what the series is generally criticized for, that and its lack of impact too. The humor is good, but the series too rarely dwells on the legal part which could nevertheless have been interesting. And it’s not the intervention of Matt Murdock that will save the furniture unfortunately.

Good old Daredevil is somewhat mishandled here with a side of him that we didn’t know and that we weren’t particularly eager to discover. A fun, funny Daredevil who makes Marvel-style jokes… the sauce didn’t really take. Hoping that there will be better in his personal series, Daredevil Born Again. The Disney+ series Echo has proven to us that it’s possible to have a realistic, dark and dramatic treatment of certain aspects of the MCU, so fingers crossed.
