Disney +: This actress becomes She-Hulk for new series

Bruce Banner's cousin is getting its own series. And now Disney + has found an actress who takes on the role of She-Hulk.

Tatiana Maslany (34) has a new job: The actress known from "Orphan Black" has taken on the leading role in the "She-Hulk" series from Disney +, as reported by "The Hollywood Reporter". Maslany will play Jennifer Walters, a lawyer and cousin of Bruce Banner alias Hulk. In the comics, Walters received her powers from an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin, but unlike Banner, She-Hulk can maintain her intelligence and personality when she transforms.

Mark Ruffalo (52), who plays Bruce Banner in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is said to have already expressed an interest in starring in the series. The actor was happy about his new cousin on Twitter: "Welcome to the family", he wrote on the short message service to an article about the new series with Tatiana Maslany.

More new series

Maslany became famous for the science fiction series "Orphan Black", in which she plays various clones. The Canadian actress can also be seen in the new "Perry Mason" series.

The Disney + streaming service will soon have more series with Marvel heroes. "WandaVision" is supposed to be released this year. The production of "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" has started again after the forced Corona break. There is also a "Loki" series with Tom Hiddleston (39), which, according to "The Hollywood Reporter", was partially completed before the pandemic stopped filming.
