Distracted Sellers – Con artists hit antique store

Three con artists, two men and one woman, struck a jewelry and antique shop in the Velden area on Thursday afternoon.

At around 3 p.m., the three con artists entered the store. “The two men pretended to be interested in a painting in the back,” police said. “They involved the seller in a conversation.” Her accomplice took advantage of this and stole a box with rings worth several thousand euros from a display case in the front area and disappeared. “The two men also left the shop a few minutes later and drove with them a gray BMW,” the police continued. “An immediately initiated search for the con artists was negative.”
