The Chinese company DJI has just announced a brand new drone that seems to tick all the boxes to appeal to the general public.

After telling us a few weeks ago that a more accessible Mini 3 was in the works, DJI lands this time with a drone that combines size, price and flight distance.

Mini 2 SE: characteristics broadly similar to the Mini SE…

Just a few days ago, DJI lifted the veil on its Mini 2 SE. The objective of this range is to offer devices at more affordable prices in order to interest more beginners as well as those who would like to make their first drone flights. If it wants to be more accessible, and it must necessarily ignore certain features, it offers plenty to satisfy budding drone pilots.

The Mini 2 SE unquestionably shares many similarities with the model launched in 2021. It indeed has a similar three-axis dial that can film in 2.7K and take photos in 12 megapixels. The battery only allows it to fly for an additional minute, for a total duration of 31 minutes. So, admittedly, you won’t be able to fly much longer with the Mini 2 SE. But be aware that it will allow you to better enjoy your favorite panoramas thanks to an increased flight distance.

… but a doubled flight range!

This new drone has a design similar in all respects to that of the first generation Mini SE. However, this model has found a way to stand out from its predecessor. Yes, the Mini 2 SE has something to make its big brother jealous, since it can simply fly twice as far as it. It has an OcuSync 2.0 transmission system that allows it to achieve such results. Enough to enjoy your magnificent landscapes for longer without having to worry too much about the flight distance (well, be careful anyway).

If you don’t have the budget to invest more than $1,000 in a drone, this is a device that could probably be for you. The Mini 2 SE will indeed be marketed at a price of 369 dollars from next March (allow around 520 dollars if you want to equip yourself with a case, propellers and additional batteries). Add to this that it weighs only 249 grams and that its small size will therefore allow you to take it on board easily on each of your trips.
