(sda) Top seeded Novak Djokovic has secured the Wimbledon Grand Slam title for the seventh time – fourth straight year. The Serb won the final against unseeded Australian Nick Kyrgios 4: 6, 6: 3, 6: 4, 7: 6 (7: 3).
For Djokovic it is the 21st victory in a Grand Slam tournament. He is one title behind record holder Rafael Nadal and one ahead of Roger Federer, who was absent from Wimbledon for the first time since 1998.
