After a breakdown, US rapper DMX is in intensive care. His condition is said to be “critical”.

US rapper DMX (50, “We Right Here”) is in “critical condition”. As a Spokesman for the US celebrity portal “TMZ” confirmed, the artist collapsed in his house on Saturday night. He is currently in the intensive care unit of a hospital. An unnamed insider had previously reported to the portal that DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, is said to have suffered a heart attack due to a drug overdose. However, this report has not been confirmed by the authorities.

Instead, the spokesman’s statement reads: “Earl has been a fighter all his life. This situation is another road he must fight.” In the past, DMX had often struggled with substance abuse and completed several rehabilitation stays, most recently in 2019, writes “TMZ”. The rapper’s family were “grateful for the overwhelming amount of love, encouragement, support and prayers for Earl” during these hours.
