DNA tests evaluated – three wolves in Salzburg now detected

After the Wolfrissen in Mittersill, Rauris and Uttendorf in June, the results of the DNA tests are now available: three males could be detected in the laboratory analyzes.

Two of the male wolves that killed several sheep in Mittersill (June 4th and 5th) and Uttendorf (June 7th and 10th) have already been detected in Schmirn in Tyrol. The male wolf who killed sheep in Rauris was first tracked down in Austria. However, the DNA traces after the latest cracks in Rauris in July are still being evaluated – 52 sheep have already been killed this year in the municipality of Pinzgau alone, and 33 more are missing.
