“Do Revenge”: New Netflix footage for fans of “Stranger Things” and “Riverdale”

NEW ON NETFLIX: IN OCTOBER, "THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL", "LOVE MACHT BLIND" AND OTHER HIGHLIGHTS

“Do Revenge” is something for “Stranger Things” and “Riverdale” fans just because of the cast. But appearances are deceptive. But the new Netflix film is no off-the-shelf teen comedy.

  • “Do Revenge” is a dark high school movie.
  • Maya Hawke (“Stranger Things”) and Camila Mendes (“Riverdale”) star in the lead roles.
  • Sarah Michelle Gellar is also part of the party.

Dark comedy probably calls what Netflix shakes out of its sleeve with “Do Revenge”. But it’s also a film that pretty much has everything it takes to be successful. With quite big (teen) stars from Maya Hawke, to Camilla Mendes, to Sophie Turner (“Game of Thrones”) and Austin Abrams (“Euphoria”), there is a lot of celebrity united here.

“Do Revenge” boasts a top-class cast

What’s more, Netflix of course knows that coming-of-age high school stories are best served up with a dark veneer these days. This is no off-the-shelf teen romance, but two girls who have come together to seek revenge.

What feels like the only adult in the cast was once a big teen star himself. Sarah Michelle Gellar (pictured), the “Cruel Angel” who knows what you did last summer, is the principal of Rosehill High in “Do Revenge.”

On September 16, 2022 you can look forward to the start of “Do Revenge” on Netflix.
