Do you dream of a Wordle in French? Try these sites

Wordle has become in a few days THE game that everyone is obsessed with. Whether you are looking for alternatives in French or wantsimply other identical games to satisfy your word needs, we have the solutions for you.

It’s been haunting me for days. Every morning, when I get up, the first thing I do is to put myself on Wordle, the game phenomenon of the moment, at the start of 2022. Quickly, a single grid a day was not enough for me. I began to scour the Internet to find other similar sites, emulations or pale copies of Wordle. I haven’t watched the TV show yet. Motus, but almost. I became a little addicted, I think.

Whether you’re in the same situation as me, just clicked on this link out of curiosity (and now worry about me), or just because you want to find the French equivalent of Wordle, I have compiled for you a whole list of sites in French that could bring you your daily dose. Many Wordle clone apps also exist, but these were quickly removed from the App Store. These sites, normally, should hold up. Don’t thank me, I only did my duty.

Oh yeah. That’s the stuff. // Source: Wordle

Alternatives to Wordle in French

Word

If you want to find exactly the same design and the same feelings as those that Wordle gives you, but in French, the alternative Le Mot is made for you. Available for free on this site, The Word was developed by Louanben, drawing freely on Wordle. In short, the illusion is perfect and should be able to satiate your thirst for Wordle for at least a while. Finally, a part, the time that you find the word of the day in fact.

You can play Word here.

sutom

This subtle pun on Motus is a slightly different variant of Wordle. Not only is the background blue (blue! imagine), but you will have to find words with 6 letters, not 5. Sutom does, however, give you the first letter of the word, which is nice when you think about it. The color code is also slightly different from the Wordle version: the letters present in the right place in the word are not displayed in green, but in red (yes I know, it’s a bit disconcerting at first, but it’s really like that on the show Motus, so it makes sense).

The Word again

Another site called Le Mot! wow! But this one has a white background, so you’ll be able to tell the difference between the games you’re playing. Otherwise, there really isn’t much to say about this Wordle clone, I really do my best to fill in a description that isn’t too short.

You can play this other The Word here.

Well, I hope these three alternatives help you a little to fill the Wordle gap. I am going back to play.
