Do you have a Livebox and would you like to know, for example, which devices connected to your network have the most bandwidth? In this case, LiveboxMonitor reaches out to you.

Available free of charge on Github, this somewhat austere, but very comprehensive, utility allows you to view and control in a fairly advanced way all the devices connected to your Livebox… but also to have control over the telephone calls made from the fixed line, for example.

A great tool to monitor your network

In detail, here is the list of the main features offered by LiveboxMonitor, available on the official page of the tool:

  • Control the devices that connect to the Livebox and quickly detect intrusions;
  • Obtain detailed traffic statistics, by device or overall;
  • Get a lot of details about the Livebox itself and check the quality of its fiber line;
  • Have lots of details about connecting devices (active or not);
  • Read the event log of a given device;
  • Fine-tune the settings of the DHCP server;
  • Check Wi-Fi status;
  • Control telephone calls as well as the list of contacts;
  • Control one or more connected Orange Wi-Fi repeaters.

It is also possible to personalize in a few clicks the name of the connected devices for more readability, but also to view their MAC address and display detailed information on each of these devices. LiveboxMonitor finally allows you to control the signal strength offered by the Orange access points installed in your home, notes the Korben.info blog.

Availability on Windows and macOS

Note that LiveboxMonitor is available on both Windows and macOS (whether you have an Intel or Apple Silicon Mac). You will find at this address all the information relating to the tool and the links to download it according to your device.

Be careful though, the utility was initially designed for Livebox 5, then adapted for Livebox 4 and 6. It is therefore possible that its performance will be lower, in the immediate future, with these two models.
