Hacker groups organize themselves like real small businesses and offer packages to make honest employees green with envy.

Insecurity is a problem, even in the illegal world of cybercrime. To cope with this, the groups offer their recruits extremely attractive salaries, but also various advantages such as sick leave or paid leave.

Crime pays for some

Who said that human resources were not important? Not cybercriminals, at least, according to this study by cybersecurity firm Kaspersky. The latter has indeed analyzed some 200,000 job offers posted between March 2020 and June 2022 on 155 dark web sites. And its results speak for themselves.

Cybercriminals thus seem particularly fond of software developers, who accounted for 61% of the ads posted. They are also, by far, the highest paid, with offers of up to $20,000 per month. Behind, it is the attack specialists who are the most courted (16% of the ads), with monthly salaries that can go up to 15,000 dollars.

Full-time work and flexibility

Suffice to say that even the effective work of the police services, as again recently with the FBI which dismantled the Hive group, will not be enough to curb vocations. For example, even though the salary spikes are less, reverse engineers can average $4,000 per month in this world. A very large sum in many parts of the globe.

But the hackers don’t stop there. The analysts were thus able to discover the many advantages that accompanied the proposed income. Thus, 34% of jobs were full-time, while 33% made it possible to obtain a flexible schedule. 10% of the proposals also specified that the salary was paid without delay.

Better still, 8% of advertisements explained that the newcomer would be integrated into a ” Close team “, and 7% of them provided ” exciting challenges “. Finally, 8% even offered paid leave and sick leave!
