Youtube will offer a major update of its application, with many new features.

After a complete redesign in October 2022, YouTube continues to be refined by the giant Google. The proof today with a major update, which will integrate more than thirty new features and other optimizations, which will allow each user, spectator as well as creator, to benefit from an enriched experience.

Lots of new features for YouTube on mobile

Among the features arriving on YouTube, we will notably find better volume control, to avoid audio variations between two videos, but also the possibility of doubling the speed of a video by holding your finger on the screen, without forgetting a function to avoid accidentally locking your smartphone while playing a video.

Added to this are various new features regarding on-screen display and content search. Also, to make it easier to find that musical tune that has been hanging around in your head for several hours, and of which you know neither the title nor the performer, Google will allow you to… sing into your smartphone.

A “Search by Voice” function

Via the new update of the application, users will be able to search for a song by playing it, singing it or even humming it. Google specifies that this new functionality will of course be based on a dedicated AI, which will be responsible for comparing the tune proudly sung by the user with one (or more) existing pieces.
