Remember HTC? Yes ? Good news ! The brand is back in France!

The new HTC U23 Pro smartphone will, against all odds, soon arrive in our country.

HTC back!

If there was a time when HTC was a reference in France (and in the world) on the Android smartphone market, the Taiwanese brand had gradually lost its luster. Going from fourth world manufacturer in 2009 to darker years, which will force the company to lay off more than 2,250 employees a few years later, few are those who thought of the brand’s return to the telephone market.

And yet, HTC has just formalized its new smartphone, a certain U23 Pro, which will mark the brand’s big comeback in France. The smartphone will be available at the end of June, in two colors (black and white), and from 549 euros.

The HTC U23 Pro, your next smartphone?

Concretely, the HTC U23 Pro is a smartphone in tune with the times, understand an XXL smartphone, equipped with a very large screen (OLED and Full HD +) of 6.7 inches, compatible 120 Hertz, and equipped with protection Gorilla Glass Victus.

The front camera (32 megapixels) is housed in a small punch at the top of the screen, while the photo section is provided by a quartet of sensors, gathered in a small vertical rectangle. There is a main sensor of 108 megapixels, an ultra-wide angle of 8 megapixels, without forgetting a macro lens of 5 megapixels, and finally a depth sensor of 2 megapixels.

The newborn from HTC is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which can be paired with 8 or 12 gigabytes of RAM, not to mention a storage of 256 gigabytes. The set runs on Android 13, and the HTC U23 Pro will be delivered with the Viverse application, dedicated to the manufacturer’s XR Elite reality headset. There will also be a 4,600 milliampere-hour battery, which can be recharged at the rate of 30 watts in wired mode, and 15 watts in wireless mode.

Note that the HTC U23 Pro does not have a fingerprint sensor located under the screen, but that the latter is placed on the ignition button, on the side of the smartphone.

It remains to be seen whether HTC will be able to (re)make a place for itself in the smartphone market, which is more competitive than ever. Launch scheduled for June 28, knowing that for any order, you will receive a free pair of headphones.

And you, the great return of HTC in France on the smartphone side, do you believe it or not?
