The government is launching a platform dedicated to making appointments as part of a passport application.

The rendezvouspasseport platform, launched throughout France by the government, aims to simplify obtaining an appointment for the issuance of an identity card or passport.

A desire to reduce appointment times

It takes an average of 50 days across the entire territory to obtain an appointment for the issue of a CNI or a passport. In order to shorten this time, the government is launching the rendezvouspasseport platform, designed to unify the volume of appointments between the different municipalities in the same area. Since it is not necessary to go to the town hall of his place of residence to obtain an appointment, this new website allows citizens to view all the slots available within a radius of 60 kilometers over the three months to come.

Simple to use, the platform asks the Internet user to enter the place from which he wishes to carry out his niche search, to select a kilometric radius and to indicate the reason corresponding to his request.

If the idea of the executive vis-à-vis the creation of such an online service seems promising, it should nevertheless be specified that at the date of publication of this article, the appointment search engine does not refer still all the town halls of France.
