To celebrate its first decade, Doctolib announces the deployment of new features on its platform.
Doctolib turned ten on November 15. The platform for connecting patients with healthcare professionals has grown significantly over the years, reaching an exceptional audience in the country. Today, 340,000 professionals in the sector are registered across Europe, while around 40 million French people use the interface’s services. So to celebrate this great success, Doctolib has brought something new.
Online payment, secure messaging…
What’s better than a birthday to deploy new functions? This is what the management of Doctolib must have said, since it has just announced the arrival of several new features, some of which have already been in operation for a week.
A new secure messaging system has been put in place to facilitate communication between patients and their caregivers. The objective is to make this messaging the main channel of exchange, in order to prevent professionals from being scattered between SMS, calls or messaging applications.
Doctolib is also deploying a new online payment method which should please many people. While it was previously only possible to pay for teleconsultations via the interface, physical consultations can in the future also be paid for on the site.
The inevitable AI also appears
And who says innovation in 2023 almost necessarily says artificial intelligence. AI will thus be made available to healthcare workers to allow them to classify the requests made to them according to their level of urgency. They will also be able to dictate texts to the interface for writing reports, and generate automatic messages.
Finally, for all those who have difficulty finding a professional quickly, Doctolib will offer statistics on access times from next year. The figures will be presented by department and by medical specialty.
