Expected for May 4, Doctor Strange 2 is generating almost as much excitement as Spider-Man No Way Home! And it’s not Benedict Cumberbatch who will say the opposite.
In less than two months, the sequel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue in theaters! After the triumph of Spider-Man No Way Home, in which he collaborated with the Spinner, Doctor Strange is back in his second solo film.
In this new feature film, the MCU unlocks and pushes the limits of the multiverse even further. Journey into the unknown with Stephen Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous realities of the multiverse to face a mysterious new adversary.
The interpreter of the master of the mystical arts, Benedict Cumberbatch, indulged in a few confidences at the microphone ofEmpirepromising very very heavy:
“It’s a big, big movie. It’s going to be a real hit. And if it lives up to its ambitions, we’ll have a success at the height of Spidey. Well, I’m putting my hand on it”enthuses the interpreter of Sherlock.
If he lives up to his ambitions, we’ll have a success to match Spider-Man.”
“There are some very bold ideas, and extraordinary tests for Strange and his encounters. There will be some very unexpected conclusions”he continued, in a mysterious tone.
Some will find the British comedian a little overconfident, given that No Way Home has set the bar very high. Indeed, the feature film by Jon Watts collected 1.87 billion at the global box office. In France, it attracted 7.2 million fans.
