Captain America Chris Evans is hanging up his shield and Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. will never climb into his suit again. Many of the MCU’s heroes have resigned from the comic book film adaptations in recent years. But even if we had to say goodbye to many beloved heroines, some will probably stay with us for a long time.
One hero who is far from completing his mission is Benedict Cumberbatch. The actor revealed during the JW3 Speaker Series that he will be putting on his cape again next year and saving the world as Doctor Strange.

However, the actor did not reveal whether his new Marvel contract will be a standalone Doctor Strange film, will join forces with the heroes of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, or even both.
That the story of Dr. Stephen Strange is not yet finished, the post-credits scene at the end of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” already showed. In the clip, Charlize Theron plays a character named Clea and challenges Strange to accompany her to the dark dimension.
In the comics, Clea is Strange’s great love. To kick off this, the creators of Multiverse of Madness closed its story with Christine Palmer to make room for the hero’s new love, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness author Michael Waldron revealed in an interview with the magazine “Gizmodo”.
We knew we wanted to feature Clea in our film. She’s Strange’s love of one’s life in the comics, but I felt like Strange wasn’t ready to meet the love of his life when we started our film. We first had to close the circle of him and Christine Palmer. After she gave him her wisdom not to be afraid of love, it felt right to hint at what might eventually happen between Strange and Clea.
