With “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” the Marvel universe is turned upside down. Will this finally open the door for the World War Hulk movie?

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” starts in German cinemas on May 4, 2022 and seems to determine the entire future of Marvel. The multiverse will be turned upside down and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) will meet people from other universes.
From the trailer for “Doctor Strange 2” we already know that the superhero film the Illuminati will introduce. It is an association of very powerful superheroes who advise and determine the fate of the world. Part of that in the Marvel comics are Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and Iron Man (rumored to be Tom Cruise).
This opens the door to a World War Hulk movie that has been churning in the rumor mill for a while but hasn’t been officially announced yet. However, it seems logical that Marvel still has plans for Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, after all, he recently appeared in “Shang-Chi”, will have a starring role in “She-Hulk” and is also set to make a cameo appearance in “Moon Knight”.
The comic plot sees the Illuminati, i.e. Professor X, Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man and Co., deciding that the runaway Hulk poses too great a threat to Earth. So they send him into exile, into space. However, the Hulk returns and seeks revenge on his former friends.
With the Illuminati finally being established in the MCU, this seems to play into the hands of a World War Hulk movie, but all is not as it seems. Because the Illuminati probably have a different function in “Doctor Strange 2” than in the Marvel comics.
While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, it appears that the Illuminati are not deliberating on the fate of the world, but on the fate of the multiverse. Thus, the threat of a small Hulk on one of many Earths in one of many Universes would arguably seem relatively insignificant.
This suggests that a World War Hulk movie needs a new faction on planet earth that chooses to send the green rage monster off earth. Or at the end of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” each earth gets its own Illuminati.
