The first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been released. And it contains several references to note.
If you attended the screening of Spider-Man: Far From Home and held on until the end of the credits, you must have seen the post-credits scene proposed by Marvel Studios. This is simply the very first teaser for the upcoming MCU movie, titled Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, whose release in France is expected in May 2022.
Now that Spider-Man is in theaters and a few days have passed, Marvel Studios has just decided to release the trailer more generally on the net. This December 22, it is now available on the various social accounts of the company, in particular on YouTube. A good opportunity to update for those who missed it.
As always in trailers, it is advisable to have a very attentive eye to what is shown, because we can often unearth instructive details on what the feature film could offer. We picked up six particularly significant moments in this trailer.
Mordo’s Return
His appearance is rather brief in the trailer and the haircut may instill doubt: but Mordo, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, is making a comeback in the film. Remember, in the first Dr. Strange movie: Karl Mordo was also a follower of the Ancient One, who followed the same teachings as Steven Strange. But after the epilogue, Mordo switched sides.
The Westview affair mentioned
It’s an exchange that lasts a few moments between Dr Strange and Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch. While the latter seems to want to repent of what happened in Westview, Steven Strange explains to her that he did not come for that. Here it is a direct reference to the events of Wandavision, the excellent TV series featuring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany
America Chavez

This darkened Dr. Strange is reminiscent of “Strange Supreme”, which we see appear in the animated miniseries What if… From Marvel Studios.
Marvel Studios logo literally rocks the multiverse
Like a kind of kaleidoscope reminiscent of the “mirror dimension” often staged in Dr Strange, the Marvel Studios logo that appeared on the screen played with the codes of the multiverse by presenting the amalgamation of the different variations of the visual of the studio. All the variations intermingle and unite to say: that’s it, the multiverse is well open.
