“The film I wanted to make and the way I wanted to make it was different from what they wanted. It was becoming more and more obvious that we weren’t going in the same direction.”continues Scott Derrickson.
“And that’s how, in my opinion, you make a very bad film. When the producer or the studio makes a film different from that of the director, you end up giving birth to a monstrosity. That’s why that I had to bounce back elsewhere.”
Scott Derrickson, who wanted to make his Doctor Strange 2 “a real horror film”, therefore left the adventure. It was Sam Raimi who took charge of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessreleased in theaters in 2022.
