Good news for fans of Doctor Who : the three special episodes to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the cult series will be broadcast from November 25, 2023 on the Disney+ streaming platform.
The return of David Tennant
Mark your calendars! The first episode, Doctor Who: The Star Creature will be available on November 25, the second titled Doctor Who: The Toymaker will be released on December 2, and the third will arrive on December 9, 2023.
These special episodes will see the return of David Tennant in the role of the famous Doctor, who had already played the character between 2005 and 2010, as well as Catherine Tate in the role of Donna Noble. The duo will have to face a terrifying enemy: the toymaker, played by Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother).

Written by Russell T. Davies (It’s a Sin, Torchwood), these three episodes lasting 60 to 90 minutes, are directed by Rachel Talalay (Flash), Tom Kingsley (Ghosts), and Chanya Button (The Killing Kind).
This three-part event will primarily serve as an introduction to Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education), the announced and expected interpreter of the Fifteenth Doctor, who will take on the role from 2024.
Doctor Who is a television monument created and broadcast by the BBC since 1963, and which has 877 episodes to date. It tells the adventures of the Doctor, an extraterrestrial who travels through time and space aboard a TARDIS, and who has several lives, which explains his ability to change body and appearance when he is close to the death.
As a reminder, the streaming platform Disney+ has signed an agreement with the BBC to broadcast the next seasons of the series worldwide.
