While season 14 has not yet aired, season 15 of Doctor Who will be done with a different main duo. If the Doctor by Ncuti Gatwa will remain in place, he will however have to say goodbye to his companion played by Millie Gibson, who already has a replacement.
Season 14 of Doctor Who will only arrive on BBC and Disney+ internationally by next May. However, fans should already prepare to mourn the loss of the character of Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson and recently introduced in the Christmas episode. In season 15, already being filmed, a new actress will have the chance to go on an adventure with the Timelord.
A companion from a galaxy not so far away
It is therefore the Indian actress Varada Sethu who will travel aboard the TARDIS. The latter was recently seen in the Star Wars series Andoror the film Jurassic World Dominion. This isn’t the first time a Doctor’s partner has changed so quickly, but it is the first time the announcement has come so quickly. The reasons for this change are not indicated, but it must be believed that showrunner Russell T. Davies wants to wrap up without dragging out the plot around Ruby and move on to something else.
