What is this soundbar?
The HW-Q600C is one of Samsung’s latest soundbars. As usual, the South Korean manufacturer offers a minimalist and modern design, with straight, sober lines. The style fits well with most TVs, and the product design is excellent. Its dimensions of 103 × 5.7 × 10.5 cm allow it to be placed in front of a television, if the latter’s feet allow it. Also check that you can place the subwoofer at a good distance, neither too close nor too far from your TV corner.
The HW-Q600C provides good immersion, thanks to nine speakers which provide surround sound. The promise of all-encompassing sound is unfortunately diminished by the audio’s lack of verticality. Dolby Atmos, however, ensures ample and powerful sound, while DTS:X technology optimizes sound reproduction so that the audio gives the impression of enveloping you. The bass is very present, even too much depending on the content viewed. A trip through the settings to reduce them won’t be too much trouble, especially if you’re in an apartment.
Is this Samsung soundbar worth it for the sales?
If sound isn’t your TV’s strong point, less than €350 for a quality soundbar is a good price. If you have a Samsung television, the Q-Symphony function is a real plus. The latter synchronizes the bar’s speakers with those of your television, for a much more immersive 3D sound impression.
In terms of connectivity, you will find an optical socket, an HDMI eARC port and a USB port. You can also count on Bluetooth to pair your television, as well as your smartphones or tablets.
