DOFUS 2.64: Summary of the beta update and changelog

The major summer update is coming to Dofus. the patch 2.64 is rather concise, but touches on many aspects of the game. Several gameplay loops evolve, including drop, with a host of changes to improve the MMO experience.

DOFUS – Summary of the beta update and changelog

Like last time, the Dofus team is proposing for 2.64 an update mainly of fixes. Unity is approaching, and it’s about solving as many “accessible” problems as possible. One feature of the game thus came in particularly high priority:‘Ava Temporal Anomalies!

A major overhaul of Temporal Anomalies

Most had completely forgotten about them and yet their system was quite creative! Offering a system similar to the generation of runes for drop and experience, the Temporal Anomalies were quickly shunned because of their complexity of understanding. Ankama is therefore offering them a nice overhaul, with the added bonus of an avalanche of “dungeon” type successes! Finally, there would be new content with Dofus 2.64.

Legendary pets finally accessible with Dofus 2.64

Another feature that went under the radar; legendary pets. Horribly expensive and elitist, they were only available and above all useful to a minority. With a new link with temporal anomalies and above all an improvement in the randomness concerning them, they could finally return to the front of the stage. Or rather, being there for the first time.

The usual class balances

The game’s classes have evolved enormously since 2021. Whether it’s with redesigns or heavy balancing, sometimes you need to take a little break. For 2.63, it will be a question of going back to previous modifications of the Rogue, the Cra and the Enutrof. These classes have all undergone heavy changes and it was imperative to correct a few points, such as the removal of AP from the Eau du Roub path.

Blessings and Alterations

It is an essential system, present almost permanently on your screen. Yet you probably don’t pay so much attention to it anymore. Blessings evolve with Dofus 2.64! You no longer have a limit, allowing you to avoid certain bugs. The interface also changes, notably displaying the number of fights remaining for an effect. You won’t lose anything when the patch is released, it’s just a display revision. Last bonus: it will be possible to limit the number of blessings displayed and even switch some to “Favorite”!

Note : there is a little surprise for Necronyx…

Vulkania

A new achievement has appeared for the island! It would seem to bring a new boss, as was the case with Kwismas and Al Howin. Some cocktails are also found in the encyclopedia; the mystery remains intact.

The small notes of the Dofus 2.64 changelog

As usual, the update retouches small mechanisms or simply has rebound effects. Here you can find the most important changes:

  • The “Summoning Mastery” spell now has a variant. According to this, you can define if your summons are at your mercy by default or not.
  • Necronyx becomes a “final” spell. Simply pass the Priestess of Sadida into the realm of the Gods!
  • Summons and companion spells are now visible and selectable in a new interface, outside of the player’s turn.
  • Abandoning during a fight in a Kanojedo (all areas of this type) is not a defeat. You will remain on the map and no longer lose energy.
  • Several new cards are available in Kolossium
  • New treasure hunt clues litter the World of Twelve
  • “Hunting” quests on Frigost are getting a nerf. They need less kamas, especially to deal with bots. In addition, a new mission is obtained randomly by launching the others.
  • The impact of prospecting and idols in the drop is reduced. It will also now depend on the level gap between you and the monsters.

DOFUS 2.64: When will the update arrive?

Patch 2.64 is already dated for Tuesday, June 28, 2022. However, Vulkania will not arrive before the end of July, shifting to make way for Temporis 7, taking place on June 29.
