For the new 2.66 update of Dofus and its Forgellances, Ankama is adding a type of weapon! This impacts not only the equipment arriving soon, but also the existing ones! We go around this not so trivial modification.
DOFUS 2.66: The new weapon type, spears
Spears are a “Weapon Type”, impacting the conditions for casting the “Weapon” spell in combat. After the Scythes last year, the Dofus team continues to turn to “Area damage” options. Thus, a Spear inflicts its effects in a line of 4 squares in front of the player.
Particularity however with this type of weapon: It was not present in game before. In addition to the addition of equipment, old ones have retroactively become full-fledged Lances, sometimes with an appearance touch-up. If it is only a question of the casting conditions for the most part, you will be able to find some changes in characteristics.
The new “Lance” items of the update
3 Spears join the old ones for patch 2.66. There are thus 2 low-level weapons and a 200, rather multi-element oriented without critical hits. They are all related to the new content of the Valonia Archipelago.

Converted old items
If you already have this equipment, you will not lose it. The transformation is automatic and you will just see the type change in the tooltip. The only exception is a change in characteristics; The weapon in question will have to be crafted again.

When is the 2.66 update coming?
The beta of Dofus 2.66 will last 3 weeks, until December 6, 2022. This is also the end date of expeditions, leading us straight to a fairly explicit release date.
