What is maintenance on Dofus?
Maintenances are processes that take place on Tuesday mornings (usually 8 a.m.) allowing Dofus servers to take a break. This applies via the complete preservation of character data, the fixing of certain bugs, the transfer between servers or even the application of an update. Patches are regularly deployed.
This phase is very important to guarantee a stable gaming experience, with the main cost of not being able to connect. Sometimes maintenance lasts beyond noon. In these cases, the Dofus team monitors and announces the opening time as soon as testers have been able to confirm that the servers are operational. Indeed, the slightest duplication or character deletion bug can seriously damage the game.
Why Tuesday morning? Quite simply because it is the time period with the fewest players, both in France and in other countries, and has been for several years. In parallel with the weekly maintenance, backups are made at certain times to complete the backup of game data:
