During the maintenance of January 17, 2023, the Dofus team proposed a long patch. However, one modification commands all the attention. Indeed, the day before, the official Twitter account unveiled new lines for the Momore Wax Set.
Ankama nerfs the Cire Momore set on Dofus
Since its introduction with Update 2.66 last December, the Hard Lance Character Set has gotten a lot of… wax? With excellent resistance bonuses introducing a new tanking meta, this one also presented a new mechanic, with a permanent penalty of 2 MP maximum in combat.
In its short existence, nerves have been in the game from the start. Thus, its set bonus had already been reduced, particularly at the level of fixed resistances. However, this had no effect once it arrived on the classic servers. Momore Wax-based stuff quickly swarmed Kolossium, greatly slowing down matches to the dismay of players wanting to quickly generate Kolossium. Worse, classes like Osamodas or Sadida abused exo Summons to accentuate these conditions.
For its part, the KTA reserved the right to banish it, the impact 3v3 being more minimal than in 1v1. In PvM, the impact felt less; monsters cannot open topics on the Dofus forum.
Rest assured, a first pass of balancing was present with the weekly maintenance this Tuesday. We will mention all the same that the patch, in addition to the nerve of the panoply, is quite complete. It applies many modifications to class spell ranks with currently unsuitable low-level progressions.

In short analysis, the first modification is clearly aimed at players abusing summons to overcome the penalties of the set. The latter will now end up with an exo Summon stuff, on a set that defines them in a fixed way. Make way for sales hotels.
The second line is probably the most powerful in terms of nerve. The challenge of the old set bonus was to reach 12 AP in order to keep a wide range of options despite the MP limit. From now on, it will be necessary to sacrifice 1 AP, or to remove your pet (Scarador in particular) for another.
The Wax Momore mode remains a viable option for tanking, mainly in PvM (quest fights). For PvP, it’s still unclear whether she will stay in the meta as much.
