Dofus Touch 1.58: Summary of the new update


Through the DOFUS Touch update 1.58 devblog, many fixes and features are announced in addition to the long-awaited overhaul of the tactical mode.

Practical overhauls and tactical mode for DOFUS Touch 1.58

The DOFUS Touch teams have long communicated their desire to refurbish the tactical mode. Yet mandatory to see more clearly during combat, it is currently limited to a black and white display. In addition, it is also dependent on a “grid” in the options which is a clear blow to the overall immersion.

For this new update, the tactical mode has been completely revised to stick to the existing model on DOFUS PC. Touch’s big brother has already proven itself with a version that is clear, pleasant and independent of any additional options.

Thus the new DOFUS Touch tactical mode is offered as a standard for combat.

Its decorations have more than 20 themes that will change depending on the areas of the game.

Class Balancing and Fixes

Invisible to the classes not concerned and yet decisive, many fixes and redesigns are on the program for this 2.58 update.

So these changes affect 12 classes and offer clearer descriptions and new effects.

Minor changes, which are not really

At first glance, DOFUS Touch update 2.58 seems to be light without major changes or additions to the game. Although there are no new areas, the game experience has many improvements. More specifically, these additions affect features that affect all players on a daily basis. Like for example the display of the achievements of the current dungeon directly during the fight. In addition to being clearer, it allows you to check the status of the challenges in progress at any time.

Additionally, characters that disconnect during combat will only see their first turn passed if playing with other players. This correction saves a considerable amount of time for all players, especially in PvP.

Finally, the other changes also affect aspects of the game encountered at least once by each player. Thus the quests, professions and the DOFUS Touch interface will be clearer and better adapted to the player’s comfort.

End of Pet Favored Areas

Unnoticed in the list of miscellaneous changes in the devblog, pets will no longer have favorite areas. Without any particular context, this mechanism which allowed certain pets to double the bonuses will disappear without knowing a replacement.

Seemingly only negative, this withdrawal can potentially hide a more in-depth reflection on the familiars. On DOFUS PC, for example, the pets have already undergone a complete overhaul which could also be intended for the little brother.

New Elite Pack Bonus Perks

Owners of the elite bonus pack (the paid subscription at €9.99 per month) are granted new cosmetic advantages. It will now be possible to change color infinitely directly in game.

A new “portable Zaap” feature is also included in the subscription. Seemingly very useful, it’s more of an unlimited booster potion, with little particular impact.

Feature updates still in testing

This update has no official release date. It could be the next one after DOFUS Touch update 1.58.
