Unveiled in 2019, but more widely presented in 2021, at gamescom, DokeV knew how to draw attention to himself, for many reasons. In addition to the Pokémon-like aspect with the collection of creatures, the Dokebis, to do all kinds of activities, including fights, the colorful atmosphere and with a K-pop style had seduced. But it is true that in recent months, the information is rather thin.
A postponement for DokeV
In its latest financial report, the South Korean studio Pearl Abyss, gave some details, explaining that DokeV Might Not Hit Its 2023 Release Goal. The company explains that it has lost several developers lately, slowing down development, especially since another major project is being created, with Crimson Desert. Moreover, this one has priority and will therefore be launched before DokeV, in 2023 if all goes well.
However, since this year our core development team is diving into the development of Crimson Desert, we will do our best to release additional information regarding DokeV as it develops.
This therefore means that DokeV release is now scheduled for 2024, in the best case. Whatever happens, we should have new information next year. In the meantime, we had the opportunity to chat with the development team a few months ago, to discuss some points of DokeV.
The output of DokeV was, at the time, planned for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series.
