“Doktor Ballouz” goes into the second round: filming for six new episodes has started.

Dr. Amin Ballouz is back on the job. The shooting of the second “Doktor Ballouz” season about the chief doctor played by Merab Ninidze (55), who has ended up in a sparsely populated area in the Uckermark, has begun. Until mid-October, six new episodes will be created in Berlin and the Uckermark, which are expected to run on ZDF in spring 2022.

The first season was broadcast in April 2021 on ZDF every Thursday on the broadcasting slot of the quota guarantee “Der Bergdoktor”. The program makers could also be quite satisfied with the audience ratings for “Doktor Ballouz”. Immediately after the end of the first season, they ordered a second season.

“Doctor Ballouz”: That’s what Season 2 is about

By the end of the first season, Ballouz seemed to have come to terms with the death of his beloved wife Mara. In the new episodes he dares to venture into the dating world. Eva (Helena Grass, 47), the head of the hospital laundry, has done it to the doctor. Also between neurologist Dr. Barbara Forster (Julia Richter, 50) and Senior Physician Dr. Mark Schilling (Daniel Fritz, 36) is crackling.

By the way, the hospital series is based on the true story of a Lebanese doctor whose real name is Amin Ballouz. All episodes of the first season are available in the ZDF media library until March 31, 2022.
