Domestic scenes: “A weakness for…”, David Mora and Anne-Elisabeth Blateau reveal their favorite colleagues

All the commotion in Household Scenes: a baby is announced for Emma and Fabien, already parents of a little girl. The opportunity to play out new situations for the two actors, who are looking forward to it in advance. Monday to Friday at 8:30 p.m. on M6.

Are you expecting a baby? That’s a good news !

David Mora: Fabien had been bothering his wife for a long time. He’s already getting her drunk to have a dog… Now, he’s obviously delighted.

When will this child arrive?

Anne-Élisabeth Blateau: M6 liked this idea so much that they immediately started filming. It was fun to put on a big belly and remind myself how awkward it is to move. The funny thing is that when I was expecting my son (born in 2016, editor’s note), I had to hide my belly to shoot.

How is Emma’s pregnancy going?

A.-É.B. : “Emmaesque”! She let her hormones speak.

DM: We didn’t necessarily want to delve deeply into the cliché of the unbearable pregnant woman, but it gave the authors a lot of inspiration, such as researching the first name, the sex of the child…

You’ve been giving yourself the cue since 2011. Do you need things to move to avoid purring?

A.-É.B. : It’s always fun, a little novelty. New settings, characters… This birth is one of the events that is a joy to play. And then, we never got around to David Mora. You can’t talk to him without dying of laughter. I don’t see how anyone can get tired of a partner like that.

DM: I asked my agent to put it in my contract that I did not have to speak to the actress during breaks. When we’re not filming, I read philosophical and political essays. It keeps me from getting bored. (Laughs.)

Every viewer has a favorite couple. And you ?

A.-É.B. : I was and still am a huge fan of the work of Valerie Karsenti (Liliane, editor’s note). She made her character something incredible. And she always amazes me as an actress.

DM: I have a big weakness for Gerard Hernandez (Raymond), who is a bit like our mascot. He has enormous sympathy, is very funny, very provocative, with a sparkling eye. If I can be like him at his age, I’ll sign right away!

Do you have any projects outside of Scenes of households?

A.-É.B. : I was at the theater a lot and I slowed down when I had my son to be there in the evening. Today he will be 8 years old and I think he would be very proud to see me in the theater, so if I am offered something that I like…

DM: As I haven’t done theater since 2016, the question didn’t arise whether I was going to miss bedtime (her daughter was born in 2021, editor’s note). But when I turned in Karaoke (in theaters since March 20) I jumped from a motorcycle taxi to a train or a plane. It was pretty cool. And recently, I started reading a project at the theater. It’s in its infancy, but I feel like things could happen.

Are you happy actors?

DM: We always want more projects, more of everything, but I’m already very lucky. I have a lovely family, both professional and personal, so everything is good.

A.-É.B. : I have an incredible son, I get along very well with his father, I work with brilliant and funny people, and when I go to film, I know I’m going to have a laugh. And it’s a real luxury.
