Dominic and Sarah Harrison: They look forward to it with child number two

This Sunday (March 22nd) "The Biggest Loser" is going into the hot phase: The semi-finals are coming (5:30 pm on Sat.1). The couple Sarah (28) and Dominic Harrison (28) looked after the online candidates in their "Secret Team" and are happy about their protégé Petra, who is about to reach the final. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, the coaches reveal why she made it this far and what chances she calculated for the candidate. In addition, the two reveal what will change with the early birth of their second daughter and how they assess the current corona situation.

Why did you choose to help the "Secret Team" candidates lose weight at "The Biggest Loser"?

Dominic Harrison: It is a great honor for us to be able to participate in this great format. However, the best thing about helping people is to change their lives positively and work towards their goals.

Petra from your team is in the semi-finals. Why did she make it this far?

Dominic Harrison: Petra is a very ambitious person and the key to her success was definitely the discipline she showed.

Do you trust her to win or are the men too tough competition after all?

Sarah Harrison: The competition is very strong in any case, but we firmly believe in her and wish her the very best.

How did you experience the training with your candidates and what was the biggest challenge for you or the candidates?

Sarah Harrison: We always found it incredibly amazing at every training session how our candidates fight for their goals and how they keep pushing themselves beyond their limits. The hardest part is, of course, the daily organization, since our participants face completely different hurdles than the candidates in the camp. Everyday life with all the dangers and temptations is not easy. But the feeling of being able to help and seeing results is just great!

They both keep extremely fit. How do you prefer to train and what is your goal?

Dominic Harrison: Our goal is to feel good. Sport is part of our life. Of course, this also includes a balanced diet and regular visits to the gym. The training is also often done at home. We try to incorporate it into everyday life, mostly while our little mouse is in kindergarten or she just sports with her home workout.

You are expecting youngsters. What will change most in your life with a second child?

Dominic Harrison: We'll see about that then. We think it will complete us as a family and give us a huge portion of love. We look forward to the challenge and are ready for any changes that will come.

Ms. Harrison, you are halfway through your pregnancy. How are you and what are you most looking forward to in the coming weeks?

Sarah Harrison: I am doing very well and I am lucky to be able to enjoy my second pregnancy so much again. I am looking forward to my big belly and of course to be able to hold our little princess in my arms soon.

Mr. Harrison, you will soon be the dad of two daughters. With three women in the house: What will be your biggest challenge?

Dominic Harrison: I think the biggest challenge will probably be to get through as a man in the house (laughs). Nevertheless, I am extremely looking forward to it and will do my best to be a great and loving father and husband.

Until a few days ago you were still on vacation in Dubai. How did you experience the corona pandemic there?

Dominic Harrison: Measures are being taken everywhere and people are trying to avoid large crowds there too. You don't notice people's fear there and that calmed us down a lot. We very much hope that we can get the virus under control soon and that we can all live with carefree thoughts again.

What is your attitude to the subject, do you let yourself be unsettled by the panic?

Sarah Harrison: The media hardly gives you a chance not to be unsettled. The issue needs to be taken seriously, but panic doesn't get us anywhere. We definitely try not to lose our nerves, to distract ourselves and to laugh a lot together. The fear is there – not knowing what else will await us in the next few weeks.
