Dominique Boutonnat, boss of the CNC, will be tried in June for sexual assault on his godson

The president of the National Cinema Center (CNC) Dominique Boutonnat will be tried in June for sexual assault on his godson, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office reported to Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Wednesday March 6, confirming an information of the site The Informed.

“The planned date for this trial is currently set for June 14, 2024”specified the public prosecutor, while this file came back to the forefront when the actress Judith Godrèche asked Thursday before the Senate the ” withdrawal ” of his functions as Mr. Boutonnat. Questioned by AFP, neither the CNC nor Mr. Boutonnat’s lawyer wished to react.

Dominique Boutonnat, who vigorously contests the alleged facts, was accused in October 2020 by his godson of acts dating back to August of the same year, when the latter was 21 years old.

In the complaint consulted by Agence France-Presse (AFP), the young man accuses his godfather, with whom he has no family ties, of having tried, after swimming naked in the swimming pool, to “masturbate” on the night of August 3, 2020. “I masturbate him so he stops touching me”he denounces, ensuring that his godfather then tried to force fellatio on him.

Since the start of the affair, the president of the CNC has mentioned “consensual kisses”, “gestures of affection that he stopped when he felt from his godson that this gesture could have degenerated into something else”his lawyer, Emmanuel Marsigny, said in 2022.
