New "Brangelina"? The stars in the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" remake

They follow in the footsteps of "Brangelina": Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are the stars of a "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" series.
"Mr. & Mrs. Smith" – the film on the set of which Angelina Jolie (45) and Brad Pitt (57) met and fell in love in 2005 – is getting a new edition. Donald Glover (37, "Community") and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (35, "Fleabag") play the leading roles, as Glover announced via Instagram. The two should not only stand in front of the camera, but also be involved in the production.
The remake is a series, a joint project between the production company New Regency and Amazon Studios. It will be published on Amazon Prime Video in 2022. Francesca Sloane ("Fargo") is responsible for the script.

Glover and Waller-Bridge announced the project with a short clip via Instagram that shows him dancing and she at home in her pajamas in Angelina Jolie pose. "Mr + Mrs Smith. Donald Glover x Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Co-created with Francesca Sloane. New Regency + Amazon Studios," Glover commented curtly. "Amazon Prime Video 2022." It is not the first time that Glover, also known by his musician name Childish Gambino, and Waller-Bridge have made a common cause: In 2018 they appeared together in "Solo: A Star Wars Story" – or Waller-Bridge as Android L3- 37 to hear.
