Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino has canceled his remaining tour dates in North America, Great Britain and Europe.
Donald Glover (41) aka Childish Gambino has to give his fans bad news: the American actor and singer writes in a post at X: “After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston. After being examined, it became clear that I would not be performing that evening, and after further testing, I was unable to complete the remainder of the US tour in the time requested “As of now, I have surgery planned and need some time off to heal.”
“Difficult decision made”
As “The Hollywood Reporter” reported in early September, The musician known under the name Childish Gambino had to cancel his “New World” show in Houston “due to illness”. Afterwards, it was said that he would have to postpone the remainder of his North American tour to focus on his physical health.” In the new X post, he continues: “My road to recovery is something I need to seriously address . Because of this, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour, as well as the UK and European dates. The tickets will be refunded at the ticket office.” He wants nothing more “than to bring this show to the fans and play it. Until then, thank you for the love, privacy and support.”
European shows in Lyon, Copenhagen, Prague and Oslo were announced, among others. Standing in Germany on the tour list Concerts in Cologne (November 4th), Hamburg (November 6th), Berlin (November 13th) or Munich (November 21st). Shows in London, Birmingham and Dublin were planned for December. It is not yet clear whether the performances planned for January and February in New Zealand and Australia will also be affected by the cancellation.
