Donald Glover also learned a lot about intimacy while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith. His tip: slow down.

Donald Glover (40) also learned a lot about his own bedroom while filming the series “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”. At the premiere of the Amazon Prime series on Wednesday evening The actor revealed to “Page Six” that he’s learned to “slow down” in bed.

“Go slow,” explained the actor and musician, also known by his stage name Childish Gambino. And added: “I don’t just mean foreplay, I mean everything.” It would make everything a lot more romantic and more appreciated “when the time comes,” Glover said. “You’ll understand correctly.”

The actor doesn’t reveal how exactly Glover gained this insight about intimacy from filming. Nevertheless, he emphasized his advice again: “Slow down, everyone, but especially the men. Slow down!”

The series also deals with the theme of loneliness, a feeling that Glover particularly associates with the pandemic. At the time, he explained, he had asked himself why people came together at all. And gave himself the answer: “Oh, because life is hard. We need each other.”

Glover himself has been with his wife Michelle White since 2019. The two have three children, sons Legend, Drake and Donald III.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge not “Mrs. Smith” after all

The new series is based on the 2005 film of the same name, in which Brad Pitt (60) and Angelina Jolie (48) played the main roles. Now the pair of hitmen who are supposed to kill each other are played by Glover and Maya Erskine (36).

The female lead was originally supposed to be played by “Fleabag” star Phoebe Waller-Bridge (38). She was also set to executive produce the series, along with Glover, but dropped out after six months of work due to creative differences. She explained to Vanity Fair in 2023: “Creative collaboration is like a marriage and some marriages don’t work.” At the same time, she assured: “I know it will be brilliant.”
