Donald Trump: Does he now have doubts about his election victory?

Donald Trump seems to be slowly coming to terms with his election defeat. At least one statement by the current president makes you sit up and take notice.

Even Donald Trump (74) is slowly beginning to have doubts. Although the incumbent US President still refuses to publicly acknowledge the victory of his challenger Joe Biden (77), a statement by Trump at a press conference in the Rose Garden of the White House made people sit up and take notice.

At the appointment, which was actually about the new corona vaccine, Trump emphasized that there would be no lockdown with his government. The 74-year-old said: "I hope it will", then paused for a moment and started his sentence again: "Whatever happens in the future, who knows which government it will be, I think that will show. But I can assure you this government is not going to lockdown. " Trump's statement seems to indicate that he no longer really believes in a second term.

Trump is fighting by all means

It was Trump's first public statement after Biden was predicted to win the US election last Saturday (November 7th). He did not answer questions from journalists. According to the latest US media reports, Biden now has 306 voters, Trump has 232. 270 voters are required for a victory.

Trump has not yet recognized the result. On Twitter, he repeatedly speaks of massive election fraud. So far, however, he has provided no evidence for this. Neither the US electoral authorities nor independent observers found any evidence of election fraud or irregularities. Still, Trump and his team are bringing lawsuits in several states to challenge the legality of the votes.
