Donald Trump has presented his son Barron's Covid-19 disease as completely harmless.
Not only Donald (74) and Melania Trump (50) were sick with Covid-19, their son Barron (14) also tested positive for the corona virus. The First Lady announced this in a post on the official White House website. Now the US President has also commented on this for the first time. His son is now "free".
Barron recovered quickly and completely, Trump said, according to media reports, at a campaign event in Des Moines, Iowa. His son had Covid-19 for "about two seconds". Trump once again took his son's speedy recovery as an opportunity to renew his call for schools and shops to be reopened.
Melania Trump also wrote in her post that Barron was "fortunately a strong teenager" and had shown no symptoms.
