Donald Trump is still in the spotlight in the United States because of his legal troubles. The former American president is due to appear on March 4 in federal court in Washington, for trying to reverse the result of the 2020 presidential election.
With the presidential election just over a year away in the United States, former US president and 2024 candidate Donald Trump is once again facing justice. On March 4, the former head of state will have to go to the Federal court in Washington for having tried to reverse the result of the 2020 presidential election. And as usual, it is on his social networks that the principal concerned, with particularly furious messages.
In particular, he accuses Judge Tanya Chutkan of electoral interference, saying that she “hates him and that she is biased”. As for the special prosecutor Jack Smith, he is described as crazy at the head of a team of thugs. It is therefore a standard reaction for a Donald Trump pushed to his limits. Because he may want to appeal the decision of the judge, it is not legally possible and he is obliged to comply with the timetable set by the magistrate.
Three more judgments on his schedule
The date falls very badly, since it is the eve of Super Tuesday, this Tuesday of the election when fifteen of the American states choose the Republican presidential candidate. But for Judge Tanya Chutkan, appointed by Barack Obama in 2013, the former president “is a litigant like the others and should not benefit from any preferential treatment”.
This will be a very complicated spring for Donald Trump. His trial for fraudulent payments in New York state is scheduled to begin in late March as well. On top of that, the Georgia prosecutor also wanted to try him in March for his electoral lobbying in the state. It will then probably be necessary to find another date, but not at the end of May, because at that time, he must be tried in Florida in another federal case, that of the possession of top secret documents. And all this while Donald Trump will have to be criss-crossing the country to campaign.
