Don’t forget the lyrics: a candidate allows himself a language gap, Nagui reframes him illico

This Tuesday, in the first part of the broadcast of Don’t forget the lyrics, David faced Maestro Caroline. By stumbling over the words of a song by Michel Berger, the candidate then invoked the help of Cruella, a little too familiarly according to Nagui.

Since 2016, Don’t forget the lyrics has been punctuated by the interventions of a mysterious voice-over known as Cruella. A crucial protagonist in the game since it is she who arbitrates the competition and who identifies the errors made by the candidates. A true partner of Nagui, she can count on the latter to reframe anyone who lacks manners towards her, and this Tuesday, a candidate from the show who was a little too comfortable paid the price. David, who performed on stage Mademoiselle Chang, a title signed Michel Berger, saw himself in doubt when completing the lyrics. As tradition dictates, the latter then addressed Cruella to rehear the sentence from before. But there, the latter obviously felt very comfortable on the set of France 2, to the point of familiarity with the famous voice-over. “Good evening Cruella, could I have the sentence before, please?”

Nagui: “Do you realize what you are risking?”

Judging by Nagui’s reaction, it’s a familiarity that the host has little tasted. “Wait, two seconds“, he exclaimed, raising his hand, before launching to David: “We had a familiarity with Cruella… But are you crazy? Nah but, do you realize what you are risking?” Embarrassed, the candidate then retorted: “I felt so comfortable…” before apologizing to Cruella. The latter, pretending to be stung raw, then replied: “You will not have a headset“; a way of implying, in a joking tone, that she was going to favor Caroline after this affront.
