Auchan Telecom, which belongs to Bouygues Telecom, now offers to subscribe to mobile plans with 5G option, for a small additional fee. The brand wants to maintain its competitiveness.

Between the five of them, they have between 1.5 million and 2 million subscribers in France. Who ? We are talking about Cdiscount Mobile, CIC Mobile, Crédit Mutuel Mobile, NRJ Mobile and Auchan Telecom, the MVNOs (operators who do not have their own network but who rely on the services and network of another) of Bouygues Telecom . The last city would also be the cheapest on the market, with an average cost of mobile plans over 24 less than 9.85 euros.

Auchan Telecom goes 5G

There is a change on the Auchan Telecom side. The brand has recently offered 5G mobile plans. Or rather, it offers an option that allows you to benefit from 5G thanks to your plan and with your mobile. But then, how does it work?

If you go to the Auchan Telecom website, four packages (all without commitment) are still offered to the public, but we realize that two major changes took place at the start of the year.

In parallel with the 5 GB (3.99 euros/month) and 20 GB (6.99 euros/month) packages, Auchan has upgraded its two largest packages, whether in data or with the newly accessible 5G network.

The brand is taking the opportunity to develop its two biggest packages

The 50 GB package at 8.99 euros/month is for example now “replaced” by an 80 GB offer at 9.99 euros/month, with an increase of one euro, in exchange for a larger data envelope. . The 60 GB package at 9.99 euros/month gives way to a 120 GB offer at 11.99 euros/month, with the same principle applied.

The other major change is the appearance of a “5G option”. This is selected from the site for the 80 GB (at 9.99 euros/month) and 120 GB (at 11.99 euros/month) packages. Additional cost of this option: 3 euros, which you will therefore have to add to these amounts. Note that the SIM card will only cost you a very small euro, except for the entry-level 5 GB package (cost of 10 euros), which is a web exclusive.

For Auchan Telecom, and its owner Bouygues Telecom, this is an excellent way to slightly increase the average basket and therefore the revenues from its mobile plans, while leaving the choice to its subscribers to take this 5G option or not and maintaining its aggressive pricing policy.
