Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman joins the Disney + planned Doogie Howser reboot. The two most important roles were filled beforehand.

That Disney + launched the cult '90s series "Doogie Howser, M.D." as "Doogie Kamealoha, M.D." reissued, has been known for some time. In the meantime, some of the cornerstones of the cast have been established. The latest addition is Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (36, "UnREAL") in the role of an assistant doctor, as the industry magazine "Variety" reports. Previously, Peyton Elizabeth Lee (16, "Andi Mack") as the lead role of Doogie and Kathleen Rose Perkins (46, "I Am Not Okay With This") were confirmed as her mother.

The original from the early 1990s made actor Neil Patrick Harris (47, "How I Met Your Mother") a youth star. The series is about the young medical engineer Doogie Howser, who already practiced as a doctor during puberty. For the modern adaptation, the male lead became a female lead, initially a season with ten episodes of 30 minutes each is to be produced. "Doogie Howser, M.D." consisted of four seasons.
