This weekend’s double murder also deeply shook the small community seven kilometers from Bayreuth. Here neighbors heard cries for help from the family home shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday morning and notified the police.

In the bedroom in the Sous-Terrain, the officers came across the bodies of the 51-year-old doctor and his 47-year-old wife, also a doctor. Both had been stabbed. “We assume that the two were attacked in their sleep,” said a police spokesman.

What is certain is that the children know the alleged perpetrator: Felix S., the friend of the eldest daughter (16), turned himself in at a police station in Bayreuth that same night.
