Doubs: he tampers with his moped and gets flashed at 122 km / h

The gendarmes of Doubs (Bourgogne-Franche-Comté), flashed on April 22 a vehicle for the least unexpected.

While they were on the national road 83 (RN83) to carry out routine checks there, the soldiers were surprised by the speed of a two-wheeler, but not just any: a 50cc Peugeot 103 which was traveling at 122 km/h on a road at 90 km/h. Initially, a moped of this type does not exceed 45km/h.

According to our colleagues from the Est Républicain, this burst of speed was achieved not downhill, but in a false flat rising on the territory of the commune of Chouzelot.

The individual was intercepted on a truck area, a few kilometers away.

Arrested, the driver, also a mechanic, explained to the gendarmes that he had “tinkered” with the moped. In addition to being stripped of his moped, the 40-year-old was summoned to a police court at a later date.
