DPE survey, 100 euros per month thanks to the new LEP… The 5 news of the week for your money

The reliability of energy performance diagnostics (EPD) in question; the gains promised by the new LEP ceiling; train tickets payable in 3 instalments… Here are the 5 things you shouldn’t miss this week.

Are ECDs reliable?

Energy renovation was the menu of the survey of the week on MoneyVox. DPE, energy audit, MaPrimeRenov’, Eco-PTZ… Do the French know about these new systems, how they work and their challenges? The editorial staff asked the YouGov institute to ask them the question. Discover all the lessons from this survey.

The energy performance diagnosis and the energy audit are now obligatory passages when renting a property. The stakes are high: their outcome depends on your ability to put the product on the market. Hence the question: are these DPEs, produced by professionals, reliable? Here is our survey.

100 euros per month thanks to the new LEP ceiling

This is the good news of the summer for the lucky holders of a popular savings account. As of October 1, they will be able to invest more money there: 10,000 euros against 7,700 euros currently. Enough to earn up to 50 euros in interest per month, and even 100 euros for married or civil partnership couples, who each have the right to open a LEP. Calculation details.

More expensive train tickets, but payable in 3 instalments

This is called the railway page fee. It is paid by the SNCF, as a contribution to the maintenance of the network, which passes it on to the users of its trains. The bad news is that this page fee will increase sharply over the next 3 years, and therefore further increase the price of the train ticket. It is read here.

Should we see a consequence of this increase? Still, MoneyVox unveiled this week, exclusively, the new option offered by SNCF: payment in 3 instalments for trips purchased online. Here’s how it works.
