Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is announced at Bandai Namco

March 5 marked the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023 event, bringing together all the games of the license for tournaments. But it’s also an opportunity to make announcements, and Bandai Namco hit hard this year. Absent for 16 years, the most popular fighting game based on Akira Toriyama’s manga returns. Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 4 officially showed up, although nothing is known about him yet.

It didn’t take much to excite the crowd. On a minute of teaser, only 30 seconds are devoted to this new project, of which 10 are only a text indicating that a new tournament will begin. The rest is dedicated to Goku and more specifically his transformation into Super Saiyan Blue. Dragon Ball Superits characters and its arenas will therefore be part of this new title.

However, nothing more is given. No release date, no platforms, and no official title. This Budokai Tenkaichi 4 does not therefore seem planned for immediately, and it is a safe bet that Bandai does not wish to put it in competition with NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS planned for this year. However, we can hope for a release for the following year, in order to relaunch the machine.
