One of the leaders of the “Dragon Ball Super” franchise has announced that a new project is currently in the works, without specifying whether it is a new film or the long-awaited sequel to the animated series.

While we do not yet have a French release date for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the brand new film derived from Akira Toriyama’s manga, here is news that will nevertheless make the many fans of the Japanese animated franchise salivate!

During an interview granted to the Japanese magazine V Jump, Akio Iyoku – one of the heads of the unit responsible for ensuring the development of the Dragon Ball Super license – confirmed that a new DBS project is already underway. already under construction.

The latter, however, does not specify whether it will be a new film (the third derivative of Dragon Ball Super, after Broly and Super Hero) or the long-awaited return of the animated series; on hiatus for nearly five years (March 2018), the anime has not adapted the manga’s most recent story arcs, involving new villains Moro and Granolah (volume 17 of the Dragon Ball Super manga will, meanwhile, , available from July 6th at Glénat editions).

Currently in cinemas in Japan, and expected by the end of the year in France, Dragon Ball Super will see Gohan and his mentor Piccolo face the fearsome Red Ribbon Army, the organization defeated by Goku when he was still child ; at the head of this organization, two new villains in the saga, named Gamma #1 and Gamma #2. But other surprises could await our heroes…
